While Australians across the private sector are losing their jobs at an alarming rate, as well as suffering big cuts in pay, Australia’s entitled politicians and senior public servants are refusing to take pay cuts. This comes despite MPs and senior public servants across the pond in New Zealand agreeing to take a 20% across-the-board reduction in pay in solidarity with its workers:
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, ministers in her government and public service chief executives will take a 20 per cent pay cut for the next six months.
