  1. Market doesn’t like it!

But in any case, won’t Europeans just enter via some other destination?

    • It is an interesting interview, well worth listening to. Key are first 15 mins and minutes 32-45

Sad thing is this will make more people sit up and take notice than all the expert information in the world.

      • Suspect you’re right. NBA just announced cessation of season until further notice after player tested positive.

          • It’s been that way for ages – the hooligans of old have retired and the new lot are more likely to be found sipping a white wine spritzer before matches. Metaphorically speaking, perhaps. 😉

    From The Age:

‘Chief Medical Officer Professor Brendan Murphy said Australia has had quite an aggressive containment method from early on, and we were behind the infection rate of many countries and there was no reason for panic.

“We are still in containment mode. How long we stay in that mode depends on the success of our public health interventions over the next few weeks,” he said.’

2 weeks too late. Fvkn. Where do they find this quality of dill?

My medical mates are terriffied. They are very aware of what’s happening in Italy. They know the hospitals don’t have the materials for their protection.

    What a fkn shtshow.

Pfft…my boss said today that he’s sick of hearing about it and he’ll be laughing at the doomers in a week or two.

      • Most of the Boomers I know are actively avoiding talking about the topic – not because they are scared of dying, but because they are scared of validing ‘snowflakes’ and their soft ideas about how this might affect their lifestyles…

My own parents (both 67) ignored me today when I discussed it on email – repsonded to everything else I mentioned except the virus 😛

It’s not an issue until it’s an issue…lol….

On other news, I bought some more ASX:YANK an hour ago, so yey for me; and, short Australia (wish I’d bought BBOZ yesterday like I was thinking about, but don’t have the guts to do…lol….)

I bought some extra BBOZ last week to join some that had been sitting in the naughty corner since October. Not much but enough to raise a smile.

Boomers. I had been so proud of Lovey making her own little survival kit after she stumbled upon my world is ending supple in the garage. But boomers have got in her ear see. Nothing to worry about see. #justtheflu. Her parents aren’t healthy and already have respiratory issues. Lovey gets bad asthma. No matter what I say they just shrug their shoulders. Frustrating to the max.

Do boomers love Tom Hanks? His death might wake them up.

I am waiting for Australia’s chief medical officer, Brendan Murphy and Scumo to both come down with it. That would wake a few of them up. As a bonus I would add Alan Jones and Ross Gittins.

          • Yeah. They are as dumb as Latham tweeting this morning about perspective, completely failing to understand coronavirus has only just started while all the other influenza have probably been going longer so people have had more exposure & it is at least 10x as bad or maybe even almost 70x in Italy as death rate is about 6.6! And corona will be in addition to seasonal flu cases in marine part. Even if it was less deadly than normal flu it wouldn’t matter as people are reacting probably because China did in the first place!

      • Curry. That’s the cure for this thing. A filthy hot curry – one that decimates your internal organs. And kills you. Before the Corona does.

  3. I’m loving ScoMo’s wedgie, thanks Trumpy! 😂 Suddenly ScoMo looks to be behind the curve!

How long before ScoMo follows, I’m going Saturday so that the final Europeans can get here to watch the GP. (if he doesn’t follow and corona runs wild here but not in US the LNP are done.)

  4. Arthur Schopenhauer

The Age: ‘About 1.5 million predicted to get coronavirus in NSW
NSW Chief Medical Officer Kerry Chant says that 20 per cent, or about 1.5 million people, in NSW will be infected by coronavirus.

The ABC reported that Dr Chant said the hospitals have been told to double the capacity of their Intensive Care Units and ventilator beds.

“We’re nowhere near the peak,” she said.

“We’ve got early evidence of limited community transmission and now is the time we are continuing our endeavours to contract, trace and isolate cases.”

But Dr Chant said for the majority of people who are infected they will have a mild illness and some may not even show symptoms.’

    • Kerry is finally going to be earning that fat salary of hers — plenty of late nights and tough decisions ahead.

1,500,000 X 0.2 = 300,000 hospital cases if the Chinese and Italian data is correct.
And they are all going to arrive in the next 3 weeks, for a minimum 1 week hospital stay.

    Chunt arsed whocoodanode b’tards.

    Bring out the dead.
