Chinese visitor arrivals plunged before travel ban

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) yesterday released its short-term visitor arrivals and departures data for January.

The number of short-term arrivals rose by 4.9% in the year to January, whereas short-term resident departures rose by 4.3%. The ratio of annual arrivals to departures was flat at 81.5%:
