Iron ore was the best performing commodity across all markets in 2019, with both spot and futures ending the last trading day of the year higher. It’s all about demand, although the Vale roadblock of supply has not yet been filled in, Chinese crude steel output continues to climb with nearly a billion tonnes forecast for 2019.
