Aussie births at record high, fertility rate at record low

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has released its Births 2018 survey, which recorded a 1.9% rise in births to a record high 315,147 in 2018:

With the median age of parents also rising to a record high 31.4 years (mothers) and 33.5 years (fathers):
