The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has released the Consumer Price Index (CPI) data for the September quarter 0f 2019, which registered rising annual headline inflation but falling underlying inflation.
According to the ABS, headline CPI recorded 0.5% growth in the September quarter, softening from the June quarter’s 0.6%:
On an annual basis, headline CPI growth rose to 1.7% from the June quarter’s 1.6% growth:
