Jobs boom over as listings crash

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has released job vacancies data for the May quarter, which recorded a 1.1% seasonally adjusted fall in the number of vacancies over the quarter:

Over the year, job vacancies rose by 1.8% in seasonally adjusted terms and by 4.2% in trend terms.

NSW (-7.8%), VIC (-6.0%), QLD (-7.9%) and WA (-13.3%) drove the fall in job vacancies in the May quarter:
