Data from Austrade shows that growth in the number of tourists from China slowed in the year to March, while there was an increase in visitors from other Asian countries, particularly India. Around 1.3 million people from China visited Australia in the year to March, an increase of just 2.9% over the year (but has fallen for nine consecutive months). By contrast, there was a 14.6% surge in visitors from India. From The AFR:

Visitor numbers from India jumped 14.6 per cent to 342,694 and spending was up 12 per cent to $1.7 billion.
