Trade surplus rockets to all-time high

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) today released trade data for the month of March, with Australia’s trade surplus retracing to $4.9 billion from $5.1 billion in February:

As shown below, Australia posted a trade surplus of $14.7 billion over the March quarter – the biggest in history:
