The Australian Bureau of Statistics on Monday released its overseas short-term arrivals and departures figures for February, which continued to show a trend rise in the number of inbound visitors, with both Chinese arrivals and student arrivals hitting an all-time high.
The number of short-term visitor arrivals dived by a seasonal 4.1% in March in original terms, whereas short-term resident departures fell by 9.1% over the month. The ratio of annual arrivals to departures also rose to 81.3%:
