Auction market soft on election weekend

CoreLogic has released its preliminary auction report, which reported another soft auction clearance rate on very weak election-effected volumes.
The preliminary national auction clearance rate was 57.0%, below last week’s preliminary clearance rate of 58.1% but slightly above the 56.8% final clearance rate recorded in the same weekend of last year:

Auction volumes nationally were just 917, which was way below last year’s 2,100 auctions:
