More trouble for Scummo:

Corporate lawyer, lol. Scumbag coming from a background of working amongst scumbags, complains about working with neanderthal scumbags.
Hardly news politicians are ‘basic’ in the most true sense.

    • It’s all about bringing them down. The rights or wrongs of her complaints are irrelevant to her.

      • CaptainFeatherSwordsGhost-TheReturn

so exactly the same behaviour as the people shes complaining about……How did she think politics operates?
[email protected]# all the lawyers off would be a good start

  2. When will PM Pork Chop say that #MeToo hurts good blokes like him as well coz he can’t feel comfortable about asking gangers for gobbies or telling sugar tits over in the typing pool that she probably looks much prettier when she smiles?

Old mate has form with his “I’m discriminated against as well, because I’m a happy clapper and I can’t even tell a gaybo that they are a second class human without someone saying I’m a bit of a prick for doing so”

  3. I have a problem with this manufactured outrage. The LNP participated in the slaughter of millions of Iraqi civilians. Dropped all those Democracy bombs on Syria, invaded Afghanistan to get one individual killing thousands. Tried to steal East Timors oil after decades of backing a terrorist insurgency in the mountains (Fretlin) then stabbed those same freedom fighters in the back.
Now selling military hardware to the Saudi regime to facilitate the slaughter of people in Yemen.

But somehow this confected outrage is the biggest moral concern facing the federal parliament Absolute bullshit !

The men behind the curtin are doing an excellent job with the sound and light show.

  4. Corporate lawyer!

As if there are not enough lawyers in parliament.

The “office of profit” law is insane and stop teachers from becoming politicians. Of course people should be allowed to apply for a job without having to quit their existing job.

Natasha Stott Despoja tried to change the law but was knocked back. I am not sure if it is a constitutional ban or just a silly law that can be repealed without a referendum.

    • Constitutional ban, s 44. Same section that caused the dual citizenship issues.

      Any person who:

(iv) holds any office of profit under the Crown, or any pension payable during the pleasure of the Crown out of any of the revenues of the Commonwealth; or

      (v) has any direct or indirect pecuniary interest in any agreement with the Public Service of the Commonwealth otherwise than as a member and in common with the other members of an incorporated company consisting of more than twenty‑five persons;

shall be incapable of being chosen or of sitting as a senator or a member of the House of Representatives.

Sadly, the section does not include this disqualifier:

      (vi) is a fvcking cvnt;

      • Thanks for the info!

Natasha’s claim looks silly now because she would have probably required a referendum.

If she is seriously suggesting asbestos Julie was the best the Liberals can offer, then Labor will be in government for the next 2 decades. Wonder if she’l get bank rolled by the Chinamen now too ?

  6. Mining BoganMEMBER

She’s the piece of filth that said she could live on forty bucks a day.

With any luck there will be a guillotine in her future.

  7. I don’t get it, still wont’ call out the Bullies… Clearly hoping to return to the Liberals at some point haha.

Will be welcomed back with open arms, as long as she promises to become a far right wing religious zealot loopie?

    • She won’t get into specifics because her claim could then be falsified. Much better to leave it vague and rake in those sweet sweet #metoo victim points.

Julia Banks has a working history of being legal Counsel to a few “foreign corporates” in Australia. This little “globalist” is not going to make it as a politician not because she isn’t tough enough, but because she’s not Australian enough. Foreign interests owning all or large sectors of Australia are not going to increase our standard of living (as Angus Taylor’s job is proving). Just like her mate, Julie Bishop, happy to continue to sell Australia out to foreign interests and continue a global-order thats past it’s use by date. Ordinary Australian people (Mary & Joe Sixpack) are increasingly questioning what has gone wrong with their culture, politics, standard of living, education, health, overpopulation…..all nation-state problems which continually look outwards or globally to solve that may no longer be solvable globally. Julie Bishop and Julia Banks are both defaulting to positions of victimhood (unfortunately many women still resort tho this) using bullying as an excuse cause they know they too don’t have the answers of how to avert an Australian economic downturn.

  9. Bishop was a good Foreign Minister but was underwhelming in other areas including Shadow Treasurer.

    • Bishop is incompetent. That is what Kerry Chikarovski said on TV (The Drum perhaps) when Scummo became PM.

Bishop is also a bully – in airports and shopping malls.

    • Australia didn’t need a female corporate lawyer as PM. Especially one who defended CSR against asbestos victims.

      https://theunaustralian.net/2019/02/22/asbestos-victims-to-give-julie-bishop-a-21-wheeze-salute/

We should not care how technically competent people may be if they clearly lack an ethical track record. As a lawyer, you are not forced to defend a corporate that has caused suffering and distress through negligence. You have a choice and Bishop made her career choices based upon her values and should wear them.

What on earth is all this twaddle about her being largely qualified to be the PM by her gender alone? Male or female, anyone who defended CSR’s record against asbestos victims has every right to be judged very harshly. To such a person the financial or profit motive comes first.

What next, we’ll ignore a background at a tobacco or gambling multinational or a brief stint working for a drug cartel?

Feminists have a point about the need to have equal opportunity for representation – no contest; but if the best we can do is Julie Bishop we’ve got to revisit the question about what exactly is being sought from representatives?

In their quest to feminise parliaments will these media talking heads like Lisa W be happy to lower the high bar so that even an O’Dwyer can waddle over?

There are 1000s of outstanding women in all sorts of areas in Australia that could be candidates. The biggest problem is convincing someone of merit to join this band of self interested ideologues in a kindergarten-like environment.

Where we must start is to reform the two party monopoly via independents. That much Julia Banks – another corporate lawyer who worked for Kraft and drug multinationals – has right. So, this time women of Australia get their Bishop compensation via another corporate lawyer riding the wave of feminist outrage confected by a woman working for a corporate broadcaster.

Is there anything wrong with this picture? Are these the people in touch with the Kath and Kim electorate in Carrum Downs, Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula? Are they up to understanding that the interests they spent a career defending are a major part of the problem in Australia?
