Growth lobby unites to plaster ACT with high-rise

A conga-line of ‘growth lobby’ rent-seekers have united in a bid to force the ACT Government to overturn a community plan limiting the height of high-rise development down Northbourne Avenue. From The Canberra Times:

The ACT branches of the Property Council, Master Builders Association, Planning Institute of Australia, Institute of Architects and Institute of Landscaped Architects, along with the Canberra Business Chamber, have lodged a joint submission to the authority outlining their “shared concerns” with planning and design rules proposed in the City and Gateway strategy…
