Economists ridicule Gladys Berejiklian’s 250k jobs pledge

Last week MB ridiculed NSW Premier, Gladys Berejiklian’s, pledge to create 250,000 jobs over four years (62,500 jobs per year) arguing that it pales into insignificance against NSW’s extreme population growth, which ballooned by 480,000 people over the past four years (120,000 people a year):

We argued that “given the strong population growth into NSW, the economy will likely need to produce more than 62,500 jobs per year just to tread water”.
