Auction clearances weaken despite thin volumes

CoreLogic released its preliminary auction report yesterday, which reported more auction weakness on weak volumes impacted by public holidays in four jurisdictions.

The preliminary national auction clearance rate was just 52.2%, below last week’s 55.0% and way below the 63.3% recorded in the same weekend of last year:

Auction volumes nationally were just 1,196 – well below the 1,764 recorded in the same weekend last year:
