Trade surplus rockets on collapsing domestic demand

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) today released trade data for the month of December, with Australia’s trade surplus jumping to $3.7 billion in December from $2,3 billion in November:

The result smashed expectations of a $2.2 billion surplus.
