Boral: Housing construction to fall another 15%

The CEO of building materials group Boral, Mike Kane, has forecast an additional decline in new housing construction of around 15%. From The AFR:

Mr Kane said on Monday it was likely housing starts would drop a further 15 per cent or so, and the “trough” in this cycle would probably be about 170,000 new dwellings, down from the 199,000 that market forecasters are expecting across 2018-19.”We don’t think housing is going to plummet to historic lows,”
