NSW Opposition leader pledges to stop infrastructure waste

In light of the long delays and massive infrastructure cost blow-outs plaguing Premier Gladys Berejiklian in the lead-up to next year’s state election, which comes on top of the football stadiums fiasco, NSW Labor Opposition leader, Michael Daley, has pledged public scrutiny for projects worth more than $1 billion. From The Daily Telegraph:

Major new Sydney infrastructure projects including the light rail would be subject to large-scale public inquiries before they get the green light, under one of new Labor Leader Michael Daley’s first policies.
