Those expecting Labor to backdown on its negative gearing policy will be sorely disappointed with Shadow Treasurer, Chris Bowen, yesterday doubling down on reform:

Bowen insists that Labor’s longstanding plan on changes to negative gearing and capital gains tax would be delivered even in a falling property market. He even argues that restrictions on access to finance mean fewer investors in the market and a good time for change.
