The gender gap between men’s and women’s superannuation accumulation has once again reared its head with Assistant Treasurer Stuart Robert labelling the superannuation bias between men and women “the great inequality”. From The Canberra Times:

A parliamentary inquiry into women’s economic security called “a husband is not a retirement plan”… heard evidence from Per Capita that 23 per cent of men have balances over $500,000 while only 4 per cent of women do. A quarter of all women have balances less than $50,000…
