The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has released visitor arrivals and departures data for the month of July, which again posted turbo-charged net annual permanent and long-term migration.
In the year to July 2018, there were 818,430 permanent and long-term arrivals into Australia – up 5% from July 2017 and an all-time high. This was partly offset by 534,170 permanent and long-term departures from Australia – also a record high:
