Auction clearances weaken further, prices to follow

CoreLogic released its auction report yesterday, which reported a sizeable fall in the preliminary national auction clearance rate to 55.0% from 59.1% last weekend (later revised down to 55.3%).

The preliminary clearance rate was also way below the 66.7% recorded in the same weekend of last year:

Auction volumes nationally were 1,985 – way below the 2,510 recorded in the same weekend last year:
