Housing drives lift in Q2 construction activity

The ABS has released data on the value of construction work done for the June quarter of 2018, which registered a 1.6% seasonally-adjusted rise in total construction activity over the quarter but a 0.1% decrease over the year:

The result beat analysts expectations of a 0.8% increase in construction activity over the quarter.
