Chinese visitor arrivals begin to fade

The Australian Bureau of Statistics yesterday released its overseas short-term arrivals and departures figures for June, which continued to show a trend rise in the number of inbound visitors, with Chinese arrivals hitting an all-time high.

The number of short-term visitor arrivals rose 6.1% in June in original terms, whereas short-term resident departures rose by 17.4% over the month. The ratio of annual arrivals to departures also rose to 81.5%:
