While many countries around the world (including the United States and Canada) are decriminalising or legalising the possession of marijuana, along with approving the sale and cultivation of cannabis, the South Australian Government is going back to the dark ages, waging a war on weed that would see it treated as harshly as hard drugs like heroin. From The ABC:
The South Australian Government wants to dramatically increase penalties for marijuana possession, as it wages what it says is a “war on drugs”.
