Australia’s labour market is anything but “ordinary”

Fairfax’s Ross Gittins wrote an interesting summary of Australia’s “ordinary” jobs market over the weekend:

Whereas over the course of 2017 total employment grew, as we’ve seen, by more than 400,000, or 3.3 per cent, over the first six months of 2018 it’s grown by 124,000, which is growth of 1 per cent or, annualised, 2 per cent.
