Auction clearances crash further into abyss

CoreLogic released its auction report on Sunday, which reported a further fall in the preliminary national auction clearance rate to 55.3% from 57.6% last weekend (later revised down to 54.1%).

The preliminary clearance rate was also way below the 67.8% recorded in the same weekend of last year, with a sharp downward trend evident:

Auction volumes nationally were 900 – below the 1,279 recorded in the same weekend last year:
