Enterprise Bargaining Agreement wages finally rebound

The Department of Employment has released its Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) data for the December quarter, which reveals a much needed rebound from record lows:

AAWI for agreements current as at 31 December 2017 (neither expired nor terminated) was 2.8 per cent, which is down from 2.9 per cent in the September quarter 2017, and down from 3.2 per cent in the December quarter 2016. There were 12,982 agreements current as at 31 December 2017, of which 8,748 contained quantifiable wage increases.
