Dwelling approvals continue to rebound

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has released dwelling approvals data for the month of March. At the national level, the number of dwelling approvals rose by a seasonally adjusted 2.6% to 19,603. The overall rise was driven by the unit & apartment market (+6.1%), whereas house approvals rose by 1.1%.

In the year to March 2018, dwelling approvals rose by a seasonally-adjusted 14.5%, with unit approvals up by 21.4% whereas detached house approvals rose by 10.4%:
