Budget’s grey bribes to lock empty nesters in family homes

Analysts have attacked last night’s Budget measure to assist 20,000 more older Australians stay in their homes, claiming it will worsen housing affordability by locking-up family friendly homes. From The AFR:

Treasurer Scott Morrison’s third budget includes billions of dollars in funding for thousands of extra home-care packages, designed to help ease the ongoing backlog of retirees wanting to stay in their homes as they get older.
