WA still shafted in latest GST carve-up

Western Australia’s per capita share of goods and services tax (GST) revenue will rise from $0.34 in the dollar to $0.47 in changes announced yesterday by the Federal Government, thus increasing the state’s share of GST revenue by around $1 billion in 2018. Victoria will also gain $1.8 billion in additional revenue, and New South Wales will be allocated an extra $520 million in GST revenue. By contrast, Queensland and Northern Territory will lose some $400 million and $136 million respectively. From The ABC:
