CPI in detail: Inflationary pressures still well contained

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has released the Consumer Price Index (CPI) data for the March quarter 0f 2018, which registered both soft headline and underlying inflation.

According to the ABS, headline CPI rose by 0.4% in the March quarter, below the 0.6% recorded in the December quarter:
