We have taken into account the most recent data on consumption, construction and commodity prices to update our activity proprietary tracker (for further details, please see our recent article “Activity tracker stalls in 1Q”, dated 15 February 2018). Recently, the tracker has lifted sharply from levels consistent with very anaemic growth. This is because:

1. Retail sales growth has picked up.
