Another dud privatisation screws Sydney residents

Back in 2016, ACCC head Rod Sims flipped from being a long-time supporter of privatisation to opposing further asset sales because they are gouging end-users and “severely damaging the economy”:

[Sims] said he was now “almost at the point of opposing privatisation” because state and federal governments were becoming increasingly blatant about structuring sales to maximise proceeds at the expense of competition.
