The NSW Office of State Revenue has updated its stamp duty data for January 2018, which showed that stamp duty receipts are now falling after a monumental five-year boom that has lined the State Government’s pockets:
As shown above, annual NSW stamp duty receipts ($7.405 billion) in January retraced further from October’s all-time high of $7.577 billion; although receipts were still up an incredible 142% over five years!
