More on retail woes via the AFR:

This month, womenswear retailer Noni B, homewares chain Adairs and budget jewellery retailer Lovisa upgraded profit forecasts after stronger December quarter sales and Kogan.com said sales and earnings had surged.

But sales growth appears to have been patchy and recent credit and debit card data suggests overall spending was weak.
