New car sales flat in October, trend weak

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) today released new motor vehicle sales for the month of October, which registered no change in the number of sales over the month on a seasonally adjusted basis and a 1.0% increase over the year:

Five jurisdictions reported increases in new car sales in October whereas three recorded declines.
