The ABS has released data on the value of construction work done for the September quarter of 2017, which registered another big seasonally-adjusted 15.7% jump in total construction activity over the quarter and a 30.1% rise over the year:
The 9.3% quarterly jump in construction activity was driven by engineering construction, which surged by 33.0% in real terms. By contrast, building construction fell by 0.4% over the quarter:
