MELBOURNE’S median house price will gain ground on Sydney’s in the coming years, hitting $940,000 in 2020, a new report predicts.

The latest QBE Australian Housing Outlook has forecast the figure to rise 10.2 per cent in Melbourne over the next three financial years, while falling 0.2 per cent to $1.178 million in its NSW equivalent.
