Australia’s trade surplus rose in August

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) today released trade data for the month of August, with Australia’s trade surplus rising to $989 million from $808 million (revised) in July.

In seasonally adjusted terms, exports rose $166m (1%) to $32,229 million in August, whereas imports fell $15 million (0%) to $31,240 million.
