Auctions clearances rebound above 70%

CoreLogic released its auction report yesterday, which reported a small rebound in the preliminary national auction clearance rate to 70.6% from 68.1% last weekend, but remained well below the 76.2% recorded in the same weekend last year:

Auction volumes nationally were 2,497 – slightly above the 2,443 recorded in the same weekend last year:

As shown above, Sydney’s auction clearance rate was 69.5%, above the 67.2% recorded last weekend but way below last year’s 81.4%. Auction volumes were also slightly higher, with 916 homes going under the hammer versus 913 on the same weekend last year:
