WA drives massive engineering construction surge

The ABS yesterday released engineering construction data for the June quarter of 2017, which revealed a 21.7% seasonally adjusted rise in the value of work done over the quarter and a 19.0% increase over the year, but an ongoing reduction in the construction pipeline.

According to the ABS, private sector engineering construction surged by 31.6% over the June quarter, whereas public sector engineering construction rose by 6.0%:
