ABS employment in detail: Broad recovery, but underutilsation still a problem

As summarised earlier, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) today released its labour force report for August, which registered a strong 54,200 increase in total employment but no material change to the headline unemployment rate (still 5.6%).
In trend terms, the unemployment rate fell marginally from 5.60% to 5.57%:
