Westpac: Consumer sentiment “pessimistic” for 9th straight month

Westpac has released its Consumer Sentiment report for August, which recorded the 9th consecutive score below 100 – the threshold separating “optimists” from “pessimists”. From The ABC:

The pessimists have outnumbered optimists for the ninth consecutive month.
