Retail sales to add to Q2 GDP growth

Today’s retail sales figures should add to Australia’s June quarter GDP when the national accounts are released early next month.

As noted earlier, monthly sales values registered a 0.3% rise in June in seasonally adjusted terms and 3.8% growth over the year, with trend growth also firming:
