Labor leader, Bill Shorten, did his best to maintain the media’s focus on inequality, again promising to tackle the issue if Labor is elected into government next election. From The Australian:

[Shorten] told party faithful at the Queensland Labor conference in Townsville on Saturday he wanted to improve the lives of “working and middle-class Australians”, rather than the top one per cent.
