Auction clearance rate remains above 70%

CoreLogic released its auction report yesterday, which reported a slight firming in the national auction clearance rate to 70.7% from 70.3% last weekend, virtually the same as the 70.6% recorded in the same weekend last year:

Auction volumes nationally were 1,751 – way above the 1,399 recorded in the same weekend last year.

As shown above, Sydney’s auction clearance rate was 72.5%, virtually the same as the 72.6% recorded last weekend but below last year’s 76.5%. However, auction volumes were higher, with 650 homes going under the hammer versus 512 on the same weekend last year:
