The Victorian Budget was released yesterday, which was largely a big spending, big taxing affair.
In his Budget Speech, Treasurer Tim Pallas spruiked Victoria’s booming economic conditions, which has led to a projected surplus of $1.2 billion in 2017-18, with estimated surpluses averaging $2.4 billion over the forward estimates:
