Unemployment in detail: Numberwang jobs boom?

As summarised earlier, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) today released its labour force report for March, which registered a big 60,900 increase in total employment but no change in the headline unemployment rate (still 5.88%).

In trend terms, the unemployment rate rose to 5.86 from 5.83% in February:
