Melb/Syd auction clearances white hot

CoreLogic released its auction report yesterday, which revealed another weekend of strong auction conditions, with the national auction clearance rate rising to 78.1% from 77.1% last week, and remained well above the 66.6% recorded in the same weekend last year:

Auction volumes nationally (2,646) were also way above the same weekend last year (1,582).

As shown above, Sydney’s auction clearance rate was 80.7%, just below last weekend’s 81.1% but well above last year’s 69.8%. Auction volumes were also much stronger, with 1,098 homes going under the hammer versus 664 on the same weekend last year:
